Great value for money in comparison to what else is out there

We thought the day was excellent and great value for money in comparison to what else is out there. Rob was a fantastic trainer who engaged with the students and, even though he had only just met them, seamlessly understood their needs and engaged with them effortlessly. The materials and ideas presented to the students were well packaged and will prove highly useful for the year groups' revision strategies. We look forward to working with you in the future.

I really can’t praise him highly enough.

The feedback was excellent from the students and especially the parents. James was an absolute star throughout the day, even dealing with the technical conundrum when the power went! I hope he got home OK!? The students today have been discussing it in PD and it has proved a valuable starting point in getting them thinking forward and to their exams and one we can keep referencing. I really can't praise him highly enough. I've copied an email form a parent below so you can get a sample of feedback but there was a lot of verbal praise too last night.

Some saying it’s the best talk they’ve ever had

We had James deliver the ‘goals and aspirations’ workshop today at Callywith College. It was pitched so perfectly it’s like he got into my brain or something. It was exactly what we were after. Today's theme at college was all about aiming high and believing in yourself and his talk fitted this perfectly. We’ve had a whole week of events and James was by far the best bit of the week. Staff and students have said it’s the best talk they’ve been to all year with some saying it’s the best talk they’ve ever had. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Peer tutoring – challenging students to reflect on tutoring holistically

I thought Sander was great, very engaging and good at getting the students involved. I was particularly impressed by the peer tutoring session which challenged the students to reflect on tutoring holistically. Thinking about the multiple dimensions of being a peer tutor including body language, matching and tone, as well as the practical skills required. These psychosocial dimensions of being a peer tutor will also be useful outside of the boundaries of education.

I, as a teacher, learnt a lot from him in one hour!

Just a short feedback on the 'Rapid Revision' session today at St. Anne's RC High School! Rob was absolutely amazing and I, as a teacher, learnt a lot from him in one hour! He was inspiring and the session was full of useful hints not just for the pupils but also for me.

The timing was excellent and the sessions had a clear narrative

I attended 3 of the sessions, including the Parents event in the evening. The response from the students was overwhelmingly positive. I was impressed by all aspects, especially the pace and the level of the sessions. The examination revision sessions was particularly well received as many of the students had just come out of their recent A level mocks and a little uncertain about how to progress with regards to the next stage and preparation for the actual exams. The sessions gave good and practical strategies, which the students can take on board and I have already seen some using these within their studies. The timing was excellent and the sessions had a clear narrative, which enabled students to take on new ideas and approaches. The short tasks were excellent as they enabled students to see that they worked and was within their capability.

I have been so impressed with the content and delivery of this session

Exams MADE Easy was an excellent workshop. Each key revision strategy was explored in an interactive and collaborative format. Students received instant feedback to show how much they could now recall after each task and the effectiveness of each technique meant that they all experienced success and gained confidence. Joe was a super trainer and students found it really useful. I am extremely grateful that you shared your time, expertise and enthusiasm with them. Another great programme from MADE! I have been so impressed with the content and delivery of this session and 'The Lighthouse'! [delivered previously]. I attended the Parents’ session at Oxstalls campus with the GROWS team yesterday evening and it too was excellent. Often this type of event in a school is in the form of a talk which isn’t as interactive, engaging or as likely to facilitate discussions and changes to their study environment at home. I do hope that we might be able to host one at St Peter’s in the future if we are able to book the Exams Made Easy workshop again. I highly recommend this workshop!

It’s been the topic of conversation today!!

A fabulous day! The students and staff found it very informative; it’s been the topic of conversation today!! The students certainly had an opportunity to reflect on their current practices and learn lots of new strategies to hopefully help them get their GCSE results. Thanks to Joe (and his very impressive memory number rhyme!)

Inspiring and perfectly suited for the pupils that took part

I thought today was fantastic and a great experience for all those involved. The pupils will have taken away many revision techniques and skills and it was a really positive session for them all. The goals and aspirations session was inspiring and perfectly suited for the pupils that took part. Sander was engaging and held the attention of the pupils for the duration of each workshop. The whole day was well organised and very professional, and the prizes were a lovely touch which were very well received by the delighted winners! I do hope that we are able to work together again in the future.
