Power Hour: Marginal Gains – Managing Stress

student stress

(suitable for years 9 and above)

Develop strategies to identify and combat student stress

Revision and exam periods are undeniably a stressful period for both students and teachers. Here at MADE we have identified the triggers for stress and ways in which students can overcome such stresses and concentrate on what’s most important. We are proud to have helped many students identify ways in which they can focus their energy on studying and revising for upcoming exams whilst remaining calm and in control. The marginal gains approach is used to help the students identify what causes them stress and to identify small changes they can make.

Your students will learn how to:

1. Identify the symptoms of stress
2. Employ strategies to combat stress
3. Commit to developing a balanced lifestyle

 Key Skills:

• Breathing strategies
• Analysis and foresight
• Self-control
