A number of our students stopped Danny in the corridor afterwards to thank him

We had Danny in yesterday and the sessions went really well. Year 9 found 'The Lighthouse' sessions useful, with many setting themselves really aspirational targets for their futures and Year 11 got a lot of useful tips for supporting their revision from Exams Made Easy. A number of our students stopped Danny in the corridor afterwards to thank him for the session. We also had a number of parents attend the workshop in the evening. They fed back that the session was very useful and they liked having the opportunity to ask questions and share some of their concerns. I thought the workshop was excellent and the resources useful and easy to use.

Some said it was the best session they had ever had at Walton

Thank you for the session you delivered for Year 13s on Friday at Walton. The students were very enthusiastic about the whole session. They all found it really useful and some have already started to use the techniques recommended. They thought Joe was really enthusiastic and had some very good exam techniques. Some said it was the best session they had ever had at Walton! Praise indeed – as we know students can be the harshest critics! The staff who observed Joe were very complimentary about the very high quality of the sessions, Joe’s professionalism and the highly engaging delivery. I would thoroughly recommend Joe to other schools and look forward to being able to work with him again at Walton. With best wishes

Another great day from our perspective

Hi Corin, Another great day from our perspective. Really enjoyed watching James and Nicky at work. On my way to duty after school I walked with a group of year 10 students who reeled off the 12 most populated countries as if it was the easiest thing in the World. Powerful stuff! A great session in the afternoon with Sander – focusing on our under performers in Y12. I was able to have a discussion with Sander beforehand and he tailored the session to meet their very specific needs. Really useful process. Many thanks again Seb ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi Corin I would agree with Seb. We are very hopeful that we have empowered Year 10 to really consolidate their learning this year ready for their Year 10 exams. This is turn should leave less of a mountain to climb next year. We have seen current Year 11 more armed with various self-made revision resources than in previous years, which I think shows how many of them have taken the training you gave last year and embedded it in their skills repertoire. Fingers crossed that we see that in the outcomes in summer! Kind regards Laranya

Very experienced and engaging trainers who responded brilliantly to the needs of the students

The sessions were packed full of practical ideas that we can now build on as a school. Very experienced and engaging trainers who responded brilliantly to the needs of the students. They worked brilliantly as a double act and commanded the attention of the room of 150 students well. The initial feedback from students is overwhelmingly positive. The session for parents and carers was also very helpful and some great discussion was had as to the best working environment for children at home and especially around the hot topic of electronic devices. Many thanks for everything.

We look forward to working with Made in the future

The workshops were brilliant thank you for organising and Sander for the delivery. The feedback from both the pupils and staff has been positive and there are some really workable strategies they can both use in the future. Sander’s delivery allowed the pupils to remain engaged throughout and ultimately get the most from the workshop. As a senior leader at the school it was a pleasure to the see the pupils behaving so well and this was testament to the engaging delivery methods and the content on show. Overall a really positive experience for all the pupils and staff involved. We look forward to working with Made in the future.

Rob did your company proud

Rob was brilliant! Our pupil's found him engaging, I saw all his sessions and they were great. The session in the afternoon, the pupil's felt really helped them. The parents session in the evening again was a very professional session and really gave the parents the help they need in preparation for their child's examinations. Rob did your company proud.

We had a fabulous week with the MADE team

We had a fabulous week with the MADE team at St John Fisher Catholic High School in Wigan as part of our year 11 study skills week. The pupils enjoyed finding the fun side of revision and were able to use this time to effectively implement and complete their own revision practice. The humour and games incorporated into the training made revision easy and fun. On the final day, Rob delivered a fun and inspiring staff inset using useful practical techniques that staff can use to interact with the pupils and ensure the enthusiasm of the revision can be incorporated into the classroom environment. Thanks again to the team, their enthusiasm knows no bounds.

Students were excited to find out that Rob was coming back

I was in the sessions yesterday and really enjoyed them too. Students were excited to find out that Rob was coming back to do another workshop with them as they loved the Aspirations workshop on Futures Friday. They said his personality is great and the sessions were informative and fun. From my point of view as a teacher, I realised that we don't always spend enough time explaining how to use the revision techniques and often make assumptions i.e that students know what to highlight when highlighting key points in texts. I also think that we as teachers need to spend more time explaining how/why these methods work so that students buy into them and are willing to give them a try. Rob reads the students really well, he praises students who need to engage in the session better and learns and uses their names really quickly. He uses humour and speaks to as many of the students as he can during the sessions. I think they all feel like they know him now. Some comments from my year 11 form: "I think the sessions were really helpful. I learned new techniques for revision that I haven't thought of before." "Rob's sessions were enjoyable and definitely not boring. He brought personality and humour to them." "He really interacted with the group instead of just talking"

The content of the workshop was excellent

Joe was excellent, really engaging and interactive and he worked well with all the students. The content of the workshop was excellent, it included really practical ways of revising and remembering information and key facts. A number of the students have said how useful they found the workshop and they feel it will really help with their revision.

The sessions were excellent due to his calm manner and interaction

The Rapid Revision sessions have received some great feedback especially from our year 11 boys who have spoken with their teachers about the different techniques Joe showed them and how they feel more positive as they revise for their mocks later this month. Joe’s delivery of the sessions were excellent due to his calm manner and interaction with the students. He explained the different techniques clearly and in an engaging way. The setting for the workshops wasn’t ideal as we were a little cramped to say the least however this did not detract from the message that Joe was getting across. I would certainly look to doing the sessions again in the future and also the ones where parents can be involved. A great success!
