Why CPD?

CPD (Continuing Professional Development)

Research shows, that to effect a change and move towards a new behaviour in an academic institution it is most effective to work with both the students and staff. Sustainable change happens when everyone in a team is pulling in the same direction. MADE Training offers staff development sessions across a variety of topics and in a number of different formats to fit in with your training and logistical requirements. We can deliver short twilight sessions or complete INSET training days.

Informative and engaging development sessions

“I found the training and trainer excellent, inspiring and interactive and must say this has been the best training event that I have attended for quite some time, in fact many years. The training was most thought-provoking and I was particularly keen to observe that the underpinning philosophy of the day was predicated upon a humanistic approach, one which is apt and appropriate for encouraging learners to self-develop, progress and reflect upon their learning and professional/personal lives per se. Thank you once again.”

Corrina Anderson – Deputy Head, Arden College

If you want to see a long-lasting change, we recommend that you actively pursue the new skills and techniques learnt, for at least two terms. From our experience, sustained experimentation and refinement is the best way of embedding a behaviour in everyday practice. Our skills workshops will kick-start this process. Follow-up sessions will then help you to plan how to continue the learning throughout the programme for change. Where required, we can revisit your institution to conduct regular coaching and monitoring sessions to assist your staff in maintaining their new, successful habits.
