Duchenne Smile

We knew there was a positive angle on crows feet! The Duchenne smile is the name given to the most genuine smile of them all. This is when our smile reaches all the way up to our eyes causing the corners of our eyes to wrinkle up. A Duchenne smile uses the Limbic system, a part of our brain that’s involved with our emotional and behavioural responses. So next time you see someone smile at you and you see the corners of their eyes wrinkle up, you know this is the most authentic and genuine smile of them all.
